About Zinc Sulphate Heptahydrate
The most common form of ZInc Sulpahte includes water of crystallization as the heptahydrate, with the formula ZnSO4•7H2O. Zinc Sulphate Heptahydrate occurs in nature as the mineral goslarite.
The hydrates, especially the heptahydrate, are the primary forms used commercially. The main application is as a coagulant in the production of rayon. Zinc Sulphate Heptahydrate is also used as laboratory reagent.
