About Boric Acid
Boric Acid is colorless crystals or a white powder with chemical formula H3BO3,that dissolves in water. Boric acid may be prepared by reacting borax with a mineral acid, such as hydrochloric acid.
Boric acid is often used as an antiseptic, insecticide, flame retardant, neutron absorber, or precursor to other chemical compounds. In laboratory procedures, boric acid is used in the preparation of buffer solutions. Boric acid is also used as a fungicide and as an insecticide powder.
