About Antimony Metal
Antimony is alloyed with other metals such as lead to increase its hardness and strength. Antimony oxides (primarily antimony trioxide) are used as fire retardants for plastics, textiles, rubber, adhesives, pigments, and paper. Antimony alloys are also used in batteries, low friction metals, type metal and cable sheathing, among other products.
