About Dipropylene Glycol
Dipropylene glycol is a member of the glycol class of compounds. Dipropylene Glycol (DPG) is a clear, colorless liquid. slightly viscous liquid which is far less hygroscopic than other common glycols.
Dipropylene glycol finds many uses as a plasticizer, an intermediate in industrial chemical reactions, as a polymerization initiator or monomer, and as a solvent. Dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether is an inert solvent and well suited in paints and coatings applications, especially for waterborne PU-dispersions and 2P-formulations.
